Getting to Poros
There are two ways to access Poros: by ferry or car.
Ferries (should be booked as soon as possible!)
Flying Dolphins and Flying Cats (pedestrian only) depart from the Central Port of Piraeus (Gate E8) and the journey is just 1 hour. There are approximately 6 departures per day. You can easily book your tickets through the FerryHopper app.
There are also slower ferries (where you can bring your car), that depart from Piraeus Port, with cheaper tickets which take 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Car
If you have your own car or if you have rented one, you can easily drive here from Athens in about 2-3 hours. You will drive to Galatas, and from there, you can take a short ferry (10 minutes) with your car to Poros. Alternatively, you can leave your car in Galatas and use the small boats that run 24/7 between Poros and Galatas.
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you on the beautiful island of Poros! Nestled in the Saronic Gulf, just a short ferry ride from Athens, Poros is a charming destination with picturesque views, crystal-clear waters, and a laid-back Greek island vibe. Whether you’re staying for just a couple of days or making a longer trip out of it, we want you to enjoy everything this wonderful island has to offer.
